AAUW
members and their families are invited to come visit the tranquil environment
of Virginia's "best kept secret", Smith Mountain
Lake, at the comfortable
lakeside homes of fellow AAUW members.

Come to enjoy the setting with paints,
canvas, or camera. Participate in the many activities in the lake area: boating, fishing, swimming, para-sailing. Attend the SML Charity Home Tour,
Fall Festival, the Blue Ridge Folk Life Festival at Ferrum College, Antique
Boat Show, Fishing & Archery Tournaments, Wine Festival, SML Arts Council's
Art Show & Concerts, Quilt & Rug Hooking Shows. Visit Poplar Forest,
the new D-Day Memorial, Smith
Mt. Lake State Park, or Booker T. Washington National
Park.
We have rooms with double, queen and/or
twin bed accommodations. Most have a private bath or one for your
private use during your stay. A continental breakfast will be
served. Breakfast time will be determined by the hostess and/or
your schedule. We will have information on restaurants,
activities, boat rentals, golf courses available in the home. We
will send information in advance upon request. |

There are some
restrictions; i.e., a 3 night maximum stay, no smoking allowed in the house
unless permission is granted by the hostess, and no pets allowed. Some
of the homes do have pets or are not smoke free. Kindly state a pet free or
smoke free home with your request. The homes are not equipped for handicapped
excess.
The fee of $50 per night for room and
breakfast will support AAUW’s EF and LAF. For more information and dates of special
