AAUW of Virginia
Lynchburg Branch
In the Southwest District

Purpose: This group of women of all ages and stages strives to further awareness, opportunities, and enrichment by and for women.

Activities: We hold monthly meetings, co-host the Great Decisions program, have special interest groups which actively pursue everything  from book discussions to AAUW policy initiatives.
Special Emphasis: Our branch is particularly concerned and active in the area of education. Each October we hold a massive used book sale. With the proceeds from this sale we give scholarships to women, especially mature women, so that they may attend college.
Welcome: We welcome newcomers to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and continue our tradition of friendliness and participation.
