AAUW
of Virginia's First 75 Years - An
Online History
The
AAUW
Educational Foundation
funds pioneering
research on girls and education,
community action projects, and
fellowships and grants for outstanding women
around the globe. In 2003 AAUW also founded the Leadership and
Training Institute which helps women
and girls acquire the skills they need to assume leadership roles in
their academic, professional, and personal lives.
AAUW of
Virginia maintains a number of
endowments and
fellowships.
The
AAUW
Legal Advocacy Fund
provides funds and a support system for women seeking
judicial redress for sex discrimination in higher education.
AAUW
Mission Statement
AAUW advances equity for women and girls through
advocacy, education, and research.
In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks
a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation
in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual
orientation, national origin, disability, or class.
